OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking for an experienced engineering leader accountable for executing a major Strategic Command, Control, and Communication program. This leadership role will directly manage the Program Area Chief Engineers and multi-discipline engineering line management (Systems, Software, & Hardware development). The leader will collaborate across the IPT, working closely with general management to support aligned Strategic Solutions portfolios.

Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the portfolio to meet and/or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
You will be responsible for the oversight of program leadership of multiple Program Chiefs and Engineering Management.
You will be accountable for meeting program staffing in accordance with agreed upon program plans.
Support the capture of new business and influence technical and product line roadmaps, ensuring they are reflected in program planning and execution.
Coach and mentor as a subject matter expert in engineering development process and project management.
Proactively manage emerging issues and develop future opportunities.
Build strong teams to identify, recruit, retain, and develop engineering talent & perform employee development planning, performance reviews and salary planning.
Create and leverage networks within the broader engineering organizations, across adjacent functions and business units, and with customers to achieve results.
Manage long term staffing forecast and plan.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Proven experience communicating with executive level leadership.
Ability to travel up to 25 of the time depending on the program phase (typically 10 or less).
Previous experience leading a multi-disciplined engineering team comprised of leaders as well as individual contributors.
Prior Cost Account Manager experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Leadership role on a medium (300M+) Program.
Experience in large organizational standup, complex weapons systems integration and program execution.
Experience navigating competing priorities.
Experience managing and mitigation of large, complex risks.
Experience leading projects and teams within a matrixed organization.
Strong design integration skills.
Understanding of aerospace engineering design and analysis review/release process.
Understanding of the configuration management process.
Strong Project management skills using MS Office/MS Project/EVMS.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
